Why Mum/Carer & Baby Yoga?

Updated: 51 minutes ago

Mum and baby yoga (with Ange at Nurturing Yoga) was a fundamental part of my own journey into matrescence (the metamorphosis into motherhood).

It was an important ritual for me as a new mum. A safe somewhere that I could be me, held without judgement, to not have a clue and go with it. Maybe fall apart. And it turns out, it’s where my relationships formed with other mums/carers (now lifelong friends), as we each ‘showed up’ authentically, mask free. Some sessions we had it together. Some not. We definitely laughed along the way but there was space for tears too.

I allowed myself to be a beginner whilst building on the knowledge I had, and deepening it with felt experience, gaining a rich tapestry of information from my own body and Esmés development. Learning from other mums - tips you don't find on the internet or scrolling.

And so it’s with a full heart and a deep calling to replicate a little nest, somewhere for caregivers and nurturers. To feel welcome and held. Arriving exhausted and dishevelled or calm and collected.

These classes provide invaluable support for caregivers, who can relate to your experience. You don't need to have practiced before. You show up as you are and I will welcome you with open arms.
